Remember Mind in your Will

A gift in your Will can help support everyone with mental health problems

By leaving a gift in your Will, or legacy, to Mind you could help us continue to provide vital support and services for everyone with mental health problems.

It may surprise you to know that almost half of the money Mind receives from individual supporters comes from people who remember us in their Will.

As one of our supporters told us

When my daughter was diagnosed with schizophrenia, it was a very distressing time for both of us. I called the Mind Infoline and they were an invaluable source of information. I decided to include a gift to Mind in my Will, as I wanted to do my bit to make sure others get the help they need at difficult times.

Find out more about leaving a gift in your Will to Mind

Leaving a legacy is often a much simpler process than you might think. To help guide you through the process and help answer any questions you may have, we have produced two free booklets.

  • Find Peace of Mind  - Mind's guide to making or updating your Will.
  • Making Provision - Our guide to providing for the future of a loved one who may experience mental distress.

To get your free copy of these booklets, and for any other questions you might have about leaving a gift in your Will to Mind, call our Legacy team on 020 8215 2331, or if you prefer you can request more information through this short online form.

We can also provide a list of solicitors in your area who specialise in mental health and incapacity law.

Making a donation instead of flowers

You may decide that you want your friends and relatives to leave a donation to Mind in lieu of flowers at your funeral. Let your loved ones know by expressing your wishes.

Making a Will if you experience mental distress

If you experience mental distress or have done so in the past it may be advisable to follow certain steps to ensure your Will is valid and not likely to be challenged after your death. If you would like to get in touch we can provide details of solicitors who specialise in this area.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our Legacy Giving team on 020 8215 2331 or email. We will very happy to hear from you.
