Beating stigma means changing people's minds and behaviours. And there's no better way to get the Time to Change message out than to take it to local communities around England.
That's why we're launching 28 community projects across the country to support the message of the national Time to Change campaign. The idea is to bring people with and without experience of mental distress together to get involved in physical activity. The projects will break down barriers and improve everyone's wellbeing in the process!
Twenty two of these projects are being run by local Mind associations:
| Andover Mind | Hull and East Yorkshire Mind |
| Bedfordshire and Luton Mind | Mind in Mid Herts |
| Brent Mind | Milton Keynes Mind |
| Mind in Brighton and Hove | Newark Mind |
| Carlisle Mind | North East Lancashire Mind |
| Mind in Croydon | Sheffield Mind |
| Derbyshire Mind | Solent Mind |
| Eden Mind | Solihull Mind |
| Mind in Harrow | South Somerset Mind |
| Herefordshire Mind | West Norfolk Mind |
| Hunts Mind | Woking Mind |
In addition to helping end discrimination, these projects help people with mental health problems move from isolation to increased physical activity, increasing their confidence and allowing them to play a more active part in their communities.
